Soul Savers In Christ

The Apostle Paul said, " For I am not ashamed of the gospel of  Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes....."As Christians it is our job to reach the lost for Christ. God gave us specific instructions in Luke chapter 10: 2-11 and 17-20 "Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you....... And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice,
because your names are written down in Heaven."

A soul saver is someone who helps spread the gospel to others. God called us His people to help save lives by telling them about Jesus and praying for them. We can show the love of Jesus by letting His light shine through us.Doing random acts of kindness is one way to be like Jesus. The Bible says that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves and we should do it with a grateful heart. Psalm 100 verse 4 says, " Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless His Name". Psalm 105 verse 1says, " O give thanks unto the Lord call upon His Name: make known His deeds among the people". So I challenge you this year to get out there reach some souls for Jesus. Time is short we need to reach as many souls as we can before it's too late. If there is anyone who is reading this and wants prayer or does not know God and would like to know Him. please comment below  and some of the other girls and I would be glad to pray for you.

BIBLE JOURNAL…

Live Life Unedited.

Hey guys! :D For those of you who don't know me, I'm Faith and I blog over at Stories by Firefly and Chosen Vessels. I'm so excited to be joining this blog and these lovely young ladies.

We edit things, don't we? Maybe you don't that much—or maybe you've just never thought of it this way before—but I realized recently that I edit a lot of things.

Books, stories, blog posts, emails, text messages, social media posts...and the list goes on.

And in a way that's good, really good. When we are angry, upset, or hurt, we should be careful what we say and take time to work through our feelings before we spout off something hurtful. (Ranting on social media is rarely a good idea. *wink*)

But what about any other time? What about when we retract something, click that backspace key and remove our personality?

Are we bettering the original? Improving ourselves and our life stories? Or are we telling ourselves it's not right, it's not good enough, it just doesn…

Don't Be Afraid to Stand Out

In our culture, there seems to be a lot of pressure to conform. You know, to fit in with everyone you're friends with, and only do what is 'culturally acceptable'.

I find that there's a lot of pressure (shall we call it peer pressure?), especially during the teen years. There's pressure to fit in - by getting into the cliques, by wearing "cool" clothes, and just by generally blending in with everyone around us.

We want to be liked by our peers, and there's nothing wrong with that.

But I'm here today to tell you: You don't have to conform. You don't have to be like everyone around you. You don't have to be the teenager who rebels, the guy who sleeps around, or the girl who goes to every single party. You don't have to be popular to be loved.

Because that's what the culture says is cool. That's what the world around us is doing.

You can rise above that. You can be so much more. Don't listen to what the world says about y…
